Taken from the Instructions for playing the flute, op. 106, published between 1840 and 1846, this edition could also be described as a short excursion into the history of the opera. This was an aspect that Kummer certainly had in mind when adding these pieces to his main didactic work. Ideally suited for instruction and audition.
